Project – MENA Startup Battlefield in Beirut
Every year, TechCrunch holds a Startup Battlefield, bringing the world’s top early-stage startups together in one place to compete for equity-free prize money, as well as the attention of media and investors worldwide.
In 2018, TechCrunch held its Startup Battlefield MENA in Beirut, Lebanon where 15 startups took to the stage along with speakers from Facebook, Toyota, Instabug, Eventus, Wuzzuf, Careem, and Myki.
BARB was approached to handle public relations for the event and extend connections to regional and international media outlets for coverage and attendance. We were present on the ground to handle media and secure interviews for speakers and VIPs. The event was a great success and made headline news. In total, 64 clippings were amassed in various local and global media outlets ranging from magazines, newspapers, TV, radio, news, and tech websites.
